People still afraid of Muslims then?

Aaah… Jemrey Clarkson, as much as I love watching you on Top Gear, unfortunately you do seem to be rather prone the illness known as ‘foot in mouth’ disease. The article states that Jeremy Clarkson, along with his co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May, were discussing ways in which to stop drivers being distracted by female pedestrians. Clarkson outraged viewers by stating that he had seen saucey underwear underneath a Muslim woman’s burka. No, Clarkson, no! I get that he was trying to be funny, but there are some things that are way too risky. Religion is one of those areas that people are still very much sensitive about and well you just don’t go there – not now, not ever. Can you imagine the hype this is going to cause?

As an aside… now this is funny :)

Graduation gifts for accountants anyone?

My cousin Saba is graduating with a BSc in accounting! Woohoo! So proud of her and pleased for her but I have a tiny issue that needs resolving. What shall I get her as a gift for her graduation? Someone suggested this…

Clearly a joke gift! But Apple did suggest this...
Nice try Apple, but she already has one.

Now can I have some serious suggestions please? Thank you!

What is going on here?

It’s a little worrying when our MP's would rather go out drinking rather than concentrating on politics. I know there’s recession on but honestly, pull it together!

And it’s probably drinking sessions in the party that led to certain decisions like the one below and probably explains why the Tories are now in power

And this is why the Tories are in power now...

Also another article completely unrelated to politics, but still worth a mention... not in my day

I know America’s compensation culture has infiltrated itself over here in Britain very quickly but come on! A teacher sues the school for her damaged larynx due to her having to shout at the children she was suppose to be teaching? Honestly isn’t that what teachers do as part of their job? Also a good teacher shouldn’t have to shout so much if he/she knows how to control their class and I know my high school teachers hardly ever had to raise their voice on a regular basis.

WORLD CUP!!!

This year’s world cup has been a bit of a surprise and it started on a funny note with this. Personally it was disappointing for me in that every team I supported didn’t make it through... England, Argentina, Germany - all such a shame! Spain were this year’s (unexpected?) winners and congratulations to them :)

Some people just couldn't handle their win though. Shame really.  This last article I found particualrly funny because this female TV presenter previously completely blasted her footballer boyfriend live on national TV... only to do a complete u-turn when they won the world cup. Loyalty, eh?
